A journey toward something extraordinary, will you join us?
Reptile and Nocturnal House Projects
New state-of-the-art wildlife facilities coming to The Sanctuary in 2025.
Partner with Purpose — Make an Impact That Lasts
The Sanctuary is a not-for-profit charity entering an exciting new era, with major projects designed to inspire, educate, and attract thousands of locals and tourists every year. We’re building something extraordinary for wildlife and the community with our NEW Reptile and Nocturnal Houses, coming in 2025.
The Reptile House will be double the size of our current one, to welcome even more snakes, lizards, amphibians, and, for the first time, an invertebrate section for lovers of creepy crawlies
A state-of-the-art Nocturnal House is also in the works. It will feature oversized habitats for a range of nocturnal species alongside a new Keepers Shed and gigantic lace monitor den for Dirrawong.
These capital projects will not only become an educational hub for community, families, schools and tourists, showcasing the magic of Australian wildlife but also empower our Northern Rivers community with an eco tourism destination we can all be proud of and be a part of.
The Sanctuary for everyone.
The Sanctuary is a registered charity, with DGR status.
