Sponsor a wildlife resident, make a donation and help make an impact today

By donating to Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, you’re making a direct impact on the lives of Australia’s native animals. Your generosity helps us feed and care for our beloved wildlife residents, improve and enhance their bioactive enclosures, and create innovative education programs that inspire the next generation of conservationists. Every donation—big or small—ensures we can continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting wildlife while teaching our community how to live in harmony with nature.

Help us make a difference today!

We're reaching out to our incredible community to help us continue the vital work of caring for the wildlife who call our Sanctuary home. Unlike zoos, our Sanctuary is a haven for rescued, non-releasable, and threatened native wildlife—each with their own story & special needs.

How your donation helps us care for wildlife:

Every day, we provide food, specialised care, habitat maintenance, enrichment, and love to animals who have nowhere else to go. But this care comes at a cost. It can take upwards of $10,000 a year to support just one animal in our Sanctuary—especially those with complex dietary or medical needs.

Unlike many organisations, we receive no government funding. That means every dollar donated makes a direct difference. Your support helps us do the most good—whether it’s giving a lost and scared juvenile emu a second chance, ensuring our koalas have fresh eucalyptus daily, or caring for our growing family of birdlife, reptiles, and marsupials.

By donating, you're not just giving money. You're giving life, safety, and hope to animals who deserve a second chance.

Building for the Future:

Sponsor an Enclosure, Create a Legacy

We’re not just caring for wildlife—we’re growing for them. As part of our long-term vision to give native species the very best life possible, we’re thrilled to announce two exciting new projects underway at the Sanctuary: a state-of-the-art Reptile House and a purpose-built Nocturnal House.

And now, you can be part of that story.

We're offering individuals, families, and businesses the unique opportunity to sponsor an enclosure in these new exhibits. Sponsorship not only directly supports the construction and care of these vital homes, but also creates a lasting legacy.

Whether you’re honouring a loved one, showcasing your business’s commitment to sustainability, or simply passionate about wildlife, your name or message will be proudly displayed on your sponsored enclosure—forever connected to the life it helps protect.
