Tylisa, Meaningful Futures Participant

“My favourite thing is when I walk into the Sugar Glider’s enclosure and they jump up on me as I feed them their prepared diet. I just love holding them while they eat.

I love how all of the Keepers are nice and patient. I have loved learning how to measure and weigh stuff for their diets.

I also love making challenging enrichment for the animals. However, it’s tiring and challenging picking up possum poop!”.

Leesa Morris, Tylisa’s Support Worker

“I can’t praise the staff enough! Tylisa’s keepers have guided her with encouragement and patience each week. They have permitted her to have a break when she’s tired; given suggestions for technique when needed and praised her along the way.

Her confidence has grown weekly and I have stepped back each week enabling her to practice her independence. This is a fabulous program and I encourage others to give it a go .”
